Egg Harbor Township High School
Week of September 25, 2022
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Greetings!
I can’t believe how quickly September has flown by. Our students and staff have been so busy building relationships, attending games and clubs, going to dances and participating in the Pep Rally. It is nice to see that our students and teachers have settled in.
Last week, we were honored to crown our Homecoming King and Queen, Kevin Le and Kimora Stuckey during half time at the football game. The festivities continued on Saturday afternoon with the #EHTPride Festival and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night. Student Council and Mr. Bell did a wonderful job decorating the café and transforming it into an Enchanted Forest. Over 700 students danced the night away while enjoying snacks and the photo booth.
It is exciting to watch our Fall sports as they have all hit the halfway point in their season and will begin preparing for playoffs at the end of October. The Marching Band has also been working hard preparing for their competition season. Nearly all of our clubs have started meeting with students. Two new clubs to the school this year are American Sign Language (ASL) Club and the Hispanic-American Club. It was exciting to see the meeting packed as they met for the first time yesterday.
Next week, we are excited to host the National Anthem Project once again. On Friday, October 7th, Grades 3 - 12 will proudly sing the National Anthem at the beginning of the football game against Oakcrest. Come out and support our singers and players.
Don’t forget, school will be closed on Wednesday, October 5th for Yom Kippur. Have an amazing weekend and stay dry! Go Eagles!
Ms. Carugno

#DAY1--a staff and student-led philosophy that will serve to foster a building-wide atmosphere of kindness and inclusion.
This program was started a few years ago in Bergen County by the Tyler Clementi Foundation and has gained momentum throughout the state and country for use in schools, community groups, workplaces, and sports teams.
The premise is simple: the adults in the building make a “declaration statement” about behavior that is expected, as well as behavior that is unacceptable, and we all pledge to conduct ourselves accordingly. This includes seeking help when we witness unacceptable behavior occurring.
This notion is called being an #Upstander
Has your student taken their #Upstander Pledge yet?!?
Have them sign into their school account and click here! 😊
