You are welcome to bring your child to stay in the media center BUT they must be a current PUE student. The media center will have the computer set up so you can register as a new volunteer or reactivate your volunteer status and obtain your Criminal Record Check clearance for 2021-2022. Sign up here. If you have any questions, please email Media Chair Victoria Williams.
Did you know that August is Child Eye Health Month?
The PUE PTA Wellness Team will be providing weekly information and tips about children’s eye health. Good vision is key to a child’s development, success in school, and overall well being. Remember to take him/her to their regular vision screenings. These appointments help to detect and correct eye problems early. In addition to screenings for infants, the Academy recommends further vision screening for children when they are:
Between the ages of 3 and 4
Entering elementary school
Having vision problems
Before and during growth hormone therapy
(from the American Academy of Ophthalmology)
