Our School Rocks!
Inspiring a love of learning in a safe and collaborative environment!
March 25, 2023
Dear Families,
We had a great week back! We hosted 5 superintendent candidates and they were all impressed by our level of family and community engagement at Lansing Elementary School. We also had Mad Science come to Lansing Elementary School to do a demonstration for first grade, our weekly late start and our monthly Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting. Thanks to everyone who is participating with our PTA! At this month's meeting Mrs. Phillips shared information about upcoming STEM activities. Our next community engagement opportunity will take place this Thursday from 5-7:30 PM and is a free family STEM night at Lansing Intermediate School. All K-5 families are welcome to attend! If you have a little time to donate, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0444ada829a7f94-stem#/
This week we also have our late start on Thursday and our monthly Site Council meeting.
We are still accepting boys and girls pants donations for our nurse's office. If you have gently used clothing, you are interested in donating, please send that in.
Thank you to our families for completing our family engagement survey! We had 243 responses, which were the most responses of any building in Lansing!
We are still looking for community members to serve on the LES Playground Committee! Our next meeting will be April 6 from 4-5PM in the library. Anyone interested in participating is welcome! Please contact jennifer.kolb@usd469.net if you would like more information. Please use this link to sign up: https://forms.gle/zLnf8abQvX1vW6sy5
USD 469 has created a donation link for anyone wanting to contribute to the playground fund, please feel free to share: https://usd469.revtrak.net/donation-item/#/v/donations
