A Note from Dr. Reynolds
WBE Families,
We are so excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week this week. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful staff full of people that go above and beyond each day to make sure our students are not only taught well but loved! I hope you will join me in celebrating them this week. It could be a simple as a note of thanks or a nice email. We want to thank our PTO and our WBE families for providing a week full of meals for our staff. We also want to thank Ms. P and the student leadership team for their exciting welcome this morning.
Thank you,
Dr. Reynolds

STEM Update
STEM Family Week
1st Grade Virtual Field Trip
First Grade took a virtual field trip to the Zoo to look at the seahorses and spider monkeys, followed by a live Q and A for students to learn more information about animals with unique features and the careers at the Zoo. This tied into their Module in Wit and Wisdom called Creature Features, where they focused on animals' unique features and how animals use the same feature in different ways. You might have seen pictures from their last STEM activity where they made animals from the unit as well!

Nurse Updates
Please continue to monitor your child and consult with your doctor for any symptoms of illness such as fever, chills, headache, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, new loss of taste and/or smell, vomiting or diarrhea. If your child has a fever >100, they must stay home and be fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medications before returning to school. Also, as a reminder, if your child is tested for COVID-19, they must remain out of school until the test results come back. Please email or fax the results to me.
Thank you!
