Prosper High School's Lute Croy is new Richland HS Principal
Prosper ISD is proud to announce that Dr. Lute Croy has been selected to lead Richland High School, the district's fourth high school.
"Dr. Croy has been a tremendous asset at Prosper High School in his role as assistant principal. And we are so excited to see the culture and traditions he begins building at Richland High School," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Holly Ferguson.
Dr. Croy will complete the school year at PHS, and then begin his work hiring teachers and staff for the new high school, and working with students to create campus expectations, leadership definitions, and traditions.
About Dr. Croy
Dr. Croy has been an educator for 21 years, having served as a teacher, coach, and administrator in a variety of public school settings in Oklahoma and Texas. Most recently, Dr. Croy has spent the last three years in Prosper ISD, serving as an instructional coach for one year and an assistant principal at Prosper High School for two years.
Dr. Croy earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History and Psychology while playing football at Southern Methodist University. He earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, and he earned his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Abilene Christian University.

If you are looking for Dr. Croy when he’s not at work, he’s most likely reading a good book, attending one of his daughter’s soccer games, or cheering on the SMU Mustangs.
A Letter to PHS
Prosper High School Family
I am so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to be part of THE Prosper High School family over the last two years. I will forever be indebted to Mr. Jones for bringing me here and for investing in my growth as a leader. I am incredibly proud of the work we have accomplished in such a short amount of time, and that is a testament to the capacity of our teaching staff and the quality of our students. We have amazing people at Prosper High School, and that is what makes leaving so difficult.
There were very few positions out there that would have been able to pull me away from PHS, and getting the opportunity to be the first principal of Richland High School was the only one I was interested in. It is a phenomenal opportunity to serve the West side of our community, and I am extremely excited to get started as the lead learner of Raider Nation.
To the Prosper High School students, teachers, and community members, thank you for welcoming me into the PHS family and for making this a special place to work over the last two years. I have learned so many things here that I will take with me as we start our work at Richland. I will always cherish my time as an Eagle, and I will still be cheering for the Eagles (as long as they are not lined up against the Raiders) every chance I get.
Go… Eagles.

A Letter to the Richland Community
Richland High School Community
I am so excited about the opportunity to serve Raider Nation as the first principal of Richland High School!
Richland will be a world-class school that provides a world-class education to EVERY student that walks through our doors. It will be a place where teachers love to work, students love to attend school, and Richland will be a school that our community will be proud of.
I believe in the life-changing power of education, and my goal is to make Richland a place that develops the capacity of our students and our staff so that every member of Raider Nation will become the very best version of themselves. We will focus on building champions for life by ensuring that every student at Richland High School learns at high levels and by intentionally creating an environment and a culture that encourages students and staff members to exemplify championship behaviors in everything we do.
I cannot wait to get started doing this work, and I am looking forward to getting to know our students and parents as we partner together to make Richland High School a truly special place.
We are Richland, and We Build Champions Here!
