Important: Morning Arrival Updates
This message has been sent via Talking Points, but includes some new information:
Effective immediately, the front entrance to the school at Waverley drive will be blocked during arrival and only accessible by buses. ALL families in a car MUST use the car rider line. The only children that should be using the front entrances are walkers.
Every morning we witness families dropping off their students via car at the front of the school blocking our buses from being able to drop off students and impacting routes all over the county.
It is illegal to park in a fire lane. Students arriving to school after 9:00AM must have a parent accompany them to the office to sign in. Parents must find a parking space and may not park along our fire lane.
This will now be monitored and enforced by our School Resource Officer.

Rooted in Wellness
March is National Nutrition Month®
Fresh fruits and vegetables add a variety of color and flavor to our meals plus they are filled with vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber supporting healthy living. Set a goal to eat 2 cups of fruit and 2 ½ cups of vegetables each day!
Here are a few tips to help you and your family eat more fruits and vegetables!
Week 1 Tip: Focus on breakfast. Chop up raw spinach or onions and add them to scrambled eggs with low-fat cheese, make a parfait with low fat yogurt and fruit.
Week 2 Tip: Explore new foods. Select a new fruit or vegetable that your family has not tried. Eat it together as a family at dinner or lunch and have your child share their thoughts on how it tasted to them.
Week 3 Tip: Instead of chips or sugary snacks, try some fruit or vegetables. Raw vegetables taste great with hummus. Put some nut or seed butter on an apple or banana.
Week 4 Tip: It’s not a race! Try not to rush during meal times or participate in other activities. Sit down and enjoy the taste and textures of the foods you are eating. This is also a great opportunity for family conversation!
Enjoy the journey of discovering new flavors together! Let’s make March a month filled with colorful and nutritious meals for our families. Happy National Nutrition Month®!
