Cowboy Courier
August 14, 2020
Whew!! We successfully completed two whole days of this virtual business. I know you are exhausted and need a weekend. I am proud of everyone. I might be biased, but I think we were the best school around this week.
Students will begin to get more comfortable next week, so remember the discretion you have to mute and turn off audio. Continue to review expectations and give reminders for Zoom etiquette just like you would practice routines and procedures in regular class. Contact an AP if you need someone to pop into a Zoom with you.
You also have the discretion to allow students up to approximately 25 minutes of independent work time in a class. You remain available, but if they want to remove themselves from a meeting to complete independent work, you may allow that. The first priority is the quality of the lessons we are providing. This is a long day in front of a screen for everyone so if we can give them a little break from the face to face, that is fine.
Appreciate all the work you are doing to make this great for kids!!

You can still use this link for staff shout outs! I love getting these certificates in my inbox.
If you sent a shout-out and I haven't share it, please let me know. I am still perfecting my system of keeping up with these.

Kudos!
Kudos to everyone! There is no way for me to single out any one person this week. It has taken our entire village to kick off this year. We had tons of positive messages from parents as well. Way to go!
