DISTRICT PROMISE
SHS/LHHS Senior Prom
The SHS/LHHS Senior Prom is on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at the Rosehill Community Center (204 Lincoln Avenue, Mukilteo). The dance will begin at 7:00 PM and end at 10:00 PM. Attendees must arrive before 8:30 PM to be allowed entrance; no entrance after 8:30 PM. The theme is "James Bond 007".
All LHHS seniors must complete guest passes for themselves and for any non-SHS students. Guest passes will be available in the LHHS office during the week of April 15th. Tickets are $30 each and will be sold during the week of April 22nd through April 26th at the SHS ASB window before school, after school, and during lunch. No tickets will be sold after Friday, April 26th. Guest passes must be approved and presented at the time of ticket purchase.

DUE MAY 1st: Staff Speaker for You at Graduation
At LHHS graduations, students ask a staff member to speak about them. If you have not yet asked a staff member to speak for you, please do so.

- Your Six Word Essay (ex: It was fun, glad it's done)
ALL COURSE WORK - DUE FRIDAY, JUNE 7th
All course work must be completed and turned in by Friday, June 7th.

If you have not ordered one yet, Yearbooks are still available. Yearbooks are $25 each and can be purchased in the office.
Student registration is open
New student registration is now open for the 2024-25 school year in the Stanwood-Camano School District.
Families can register students new to the district online at www.stanwood.wednet.edu/welcome to find all the necessary instructions.
For incoming kindergarteners and their families, the district is hosting its annual Kindergarten Fair from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the Stanwood High School Commons.
Families can register for kindergarten at the event or online at any time. A kindergarten student must be 5 years old prior to September 1, 2024, for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.
Dinner and a show!
Port Susan Middle School and Stanwood Middle School students are hosting a comedy murder mystery dinner theatre show.
Performances of “Death of a Dead Guy” will take place on May 16, 17 and 18 at Port Susan Middle School. Dinner is from 5-6 p.m. and the show is from 6:10-7:10 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.

For in-person sales (open to everyone), please buy tickets from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. weekdays at Port Susan Middle School, or from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. and 1:30-4 p.m. at the School District offices.
April menus available
Families can find breakfast and lunch menus for March on our Food Services webpage by expanding the "Monthly Menus" tab.
Meanwhile, we continue to encourage families to submit a Free and Reduced Meal application online via Skyward Family Access by clicking the Food Service tab and then Applications.
Local nonprofits offer clubs and programs for students
Several area nonprofit organizations — such as the Stanwood-Camano YMCA and the Stanwood Camano Arts Advocacy Commission — offer clubs, programs, classes, and events for local students, including:

Volunteer Opportunities
Would you like to volunteer at our school? We have volunteer opportunities throughout the school day including passing times, lunch hour and other school events. Please call our office at 360-629-1340 to let us know if you are interested in volunteering.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS!!!
Charge your Chromebook
- It is important that students come to school everyday with their Chromebooks charged so they can participate in electronic assignments. We do not have additional charges or Chromebooks to lend out if Chromebooks are not charged. Please make sure Chromebooks are plugged in every night so they are fully charged for the next school day.
Credit retrieval every Tuesday after school
- After-school Credit retrieval is every Tuesday throughout the school year. This is a great opportunity for students to retrieve credits to be on track for graduation. Below are the credits each grade level should have at this time of the year. For students who do not have the minimum number of credits listed below to be on track for graduation, please see Christy Thompson, counselor, to sign up for credit retrieval. Credits students should have to be on track for graduation:
- 9th Grade: 3 credits
- 10th Grade: 9 credits
- 11th Grade: 15 credits
- 12th Grade: 21 credits
Lincoln Hill High School is a Closed Campus
This is a reminder that Lincoln Hill High School and Stanwood High School are closed campuses. Students are to remain on campus from the start of the school day until the final bell. Lunchtime is an on-campus activity. A student shall not leave the school campus during the school day unless excused by a parent/guardian through the school office. Students will not be excused for daily "off-campus" privileges or activities such as leaving the campus for lunch, eating lunch in private vehicles, etc.

REVIEW: TRAFFIC SAFETY EDUCATION (SHS/LHHS STUDENTS)

All classes are taught by certificated Washington state instructors and graduates of Central Washington State University’s Traffic Safety program. Instructors are all certificated Washington state secondary instructors.
Tentative classes will be held online/in person (dates and times to be decided) depending on school class days, calendar, and state/county health guidelines. Drive schedules flexible to meet student-driver’s activities, work, and athletic schedules
