Important Reminders
Trash Disposal and Bathroom Etiquette
Trash and Recycling
Trash should be bagged and put in the receptacles on the QUAD SIDE of the building. Recycling should be taken directly to the dumpster by the Dining Hall. Room, suite, and bathroom trash should not be disposed of in the cans on the parking lot side of the buildings, and should not be left next to the cans. Continued disposal of personal trash in the parking lot side cans will result in a charge of $25 per resident. These charges are not eligible for appeal.
If your toilet is clogged
use the plunger! Calls to Facilities to unclog a toilet will result in a $25 fee per resident of the suite. If a clogged toilet overflows, residents will be billed $25 each, plus the additional cost of the bio-hazard cleanup, at the discretion of the Director of Facilities and Assistant Director of Student Affairs. These charges are not eligible for appeal.
Clean up after yourselves!
After you shave, shower, or put on your makeup, take a moment and clean up your mess. Housekeeping will report repeated issues with cleanliness in the suite bathrooms, and it may result in fines or other action through the student conduct process.
Talk to each other!
Work with your roommates and suite mates to keep your living space clean and to avoid being charged. If you'd like some help starting the conversation, find your RA and they can give you some tips!
