Stories Alive is at Westchester! Thanks to the generous support from the DEF Teacher Innovation Grant, we are able to bring this literacy and art program to Westchester, led by teacher Jeanne Renaux.
On February 10th, The Story Machine will be at Westchester. The Story Machine is an elaborate box that children use to submit their original stories. All originally written complete stories that are submitted into the Story Machine will be published in a book. Some stories will be chosen and transformed into a live performance on March 31st. To help young writers craft their best stories, there will be Writer’s workshops help after school From February 21st - March 9th.
*Please look for a permission form link below, as well, a paper copy will be sent home next week. (We only have space for 30 First Grade and Second Grade students , so it will be first come, first serve)

The Stories Alive Program is a whole-school literacy program that provides hands- on instruction and finishes with a live community performance.
