HFRCS Newsletter April 30, 2024
SY 2023-2024 - Vol.3 Issue 35
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last Saturday evening, our Home and School Association hosted an impressive and wildly successful Cash Bingo. The event was almost sold out and the excitement and enthusiasm of the bingo players was felt throughout the gym. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported this event! My hat is off to Ms. April Nickerson and everyone in the H&S who volunteered their time and effort to make this fundraiser a huge success! THANK YOU!
And speaking of Bingo, this Friday our 8th grade will continue the honored tradition of hosting a school-wide bingo day, this year with a wild west theme! The proceeds from this event go toward the graduate’s legacy gift to the school. Please see this newsletter for more information about Bingo Day, especially the Union 2 ticket raffle!
This Saturday our 3rd grade students will receive Jesus for the first time in the Holy Eucharist. Students from Queen of the Universe parish will attend either the 10:00 AM or 12:30 PM Mass and students from St. Frances Cabrini will attend at 11:00 AM. Please pray for these students as they receive the special grace and blessings that only come from our Lord in the blessed sacrament.
May is a busy month! Hold on as we move forward in this wonderful month dedicated to our Blessed Mother. Next Thursday, we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. Our 3rd grade is preparing this liturgy, and it will be the first time they will receive the Eucharist together as a class! Mass will be at 9:30 AM on Thursday, May 9. Please join us if your schedule permits. On Friday, May 10, we will be dedicating the Danica Memorial Garden at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to join us for a special prayer service to commemorate the garden in Danica’s memory. Thursday, May 16 we will have our annual Art Show! Student artwork will be displayed throughout the halls for everyone to view. Look for more information about the Art Show next week! Friday, May 17, our students will be showcasing their talents and gifts in the 3rd Annual Holy Family’s Got Talent! See today’s newsletter for more information about this great “feel good” evening of entertainment!
Finally, as mentioned before, we spend the month of May honoring Mary, our blessed Mother. Our school May procession is scheduled for Thursday, May 22. We begin with our procession in the parking lot at 1:15 PM and will process to the church where we will crown Mary in a brief prayer service. All are welcome to come and pray.
Whew! As the end of the school year approaches, we certainly are very busy! As always, I thank you for your support of your children, our students, and everything you do for our Holy Family school.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty
We are a family of FAITH!
Remember to go to Mass this weekend.
