Focus on the Arts
Thanks to state funding and your generous contributions to our school, Wildwood Elementary has a vibrant visual and performing arts program. Students in grades TK and Kinder have dance class every week with Alexa Soni, and grades 1-5 receive weekly music instruction from our beloved certificated music teacher, Karine Szakos.
Ellen Portilla, Wildwood's amazingly talented art specialist, develops and coordinates our Art Masters program which is then facilitated by parent volunteers in the classrooms. Art Masters is an exciting Fine Arts program where students learn about Master Artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Monet, just to name a few. Then, students create individual art projects using a technique or medium of the featured artist. To see what we're learning this March, click the links below:

Art Masters is just one of the many offerings provided at Wildwood by our PTA through your generous giving. Our signature fundraiser, the Wildwood Jog-A-Thon, is in full effect, so please join in the fun (Jog Newsletter) and volunteer or donate if you can so we can continue to provide programs that enrich and inspire our students.
Warmly,
Mr. Lynch

Lost & Found - Going SOON!
If your child lost a clothing item (LOTS of jackets), lunch bag, or water bottle on campus, it's likely we have found it. Our Lost & Found cart is usually stored in the MPR, and we will begin placing it out front on the last day of every school week for you to sift through. At the end of the trimester, all remaining items will be donated to a local charity.
Next School Spirit Day - March 27
On Wednesday of the last week of school before Spring Break, we will kick off the vacation week with a fun dress-up day: "Tourist Day / Destination Day". Students are encouraged to wear what they might wear on vacation or wear something from one of their favorite destinations. Does your student still have that souvenir shirt, hat, or sweatshirt from your trip to Boston...wear it! Want to wear something celebrating a special town, city, state, or country you love...go for it! Want to go the tourist route...have fun!
STEAM Update
This week on our non-rainy days, the kids experimented with thermochromic paper. We explored our campus to see how various metal objects caused the paper to change color. Each student got to take their paper home so the exploring could continue!
