JROTC Accreditation
Part of the inspection was to explain the process from our service learning project. The briefing was presented by four cadets, one from each LET level. The staff also was responsible for briefing the process and the status of our battalion’s continuous improvement project. Finally, the inspection also included a portfolio inspection of cadets from each LET level. The battalion staff worked extremely hard coming after school and learning the briefing they had been working on since November. We are very proud of staff as well as each and every one of our cadets they did an amazing job we couldn't be more proud of them

Smith Students Write - Skyline Students Illustrate
The Writing Club at Smith Elementary collaborated with the Skyline High School Graphic Design Department. Fourteen students were partnered with a Senior in the Graphics Department to illustrate their personal narrative story.
Each student's book will be published in English and Spanish. The Spanish III teacher at Skyline will provide the Spanish translation. Each student and his/her parent will receive one copy and Smith library will also receive a copy.
On April 21st, Skyline will have an art exhibition where all 14 students will feature their books and we will be inviting parents. The goal is to expand the program next year to include more 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students.
JROTC Inspection
On January 25, 2016, we had our annual Junior Program Accreditation Inspection. The success of this inspection was the culmination of a lot of hard work from each and every cadet. Each company commander worked with every cadet to study every inspection question. All cadet leaders worked very hard to teach all new cadets how to march and understand the military protocols. The commanders and their staff worked very hard to inspect the uniforms of each and every cadet.
