Happy Labor Day Weekend!
School opening is just around the corner, and we're excited to welcome your students back. Hopefully you are enjoying some fun activities together to end your summer. Perhaps you're planning to be at our home opening football game this evening against Arcadia on the newly installed artificial turf field.

Opening of school reminders...
Regardless of what you're doing this weekend, we wanted to pass along several reminders for Wednesday of next week.
- School doors open to students at 7:15 at BHS this year. Students will not be allowed in the doors until then whether they ride the bus, walk, or are dropped off by parents, so please plan accordingly.
- The bus loop in the front of the building is for buses, not parent drop off. The parent drop off lot is located to the east of the building (pool side). Please follow the driving lanes and be mindful of people walking from their vehicles toward the building. Safety first!
- Students should report to their Advisement class by 7:35 am on Wednesday. Following Advisement, students will go in sequence to blocks 1-4. On Thursday we resume our usual schedule of Block 1, Advisement, and Blocks 2-4.
- Students who have not yet signed out a laptop for our 1:1 digital learning initiative must have a signed form from their parents (on our website here) before they can check out a laptop. They can also bring a check or cash to the main office if you plan to pay that way for the insurance plan, or you can pay with a credit card online through our MySchoolBucks account here.
- Please remember we are a closed campus. Students are not allowed to leave during the day unless we have a note from you or have been in contact with you personally; we're not going to take their word for it that they have permission to leave before the end of the day, for lunch or any other reason.
- Students will not be allowed to drop and add classes to rearrange schedules as they may have been able to do in previous years. There is a great deal of process involved to take student requests and work with staffing and budget considerations over many months to get a schedule that gives students what they asked for. Students should follow their schedules that they receive in Advisement. The only reason for changes at this point is for a student who may be missing a graduation requirement or who has a change in program.
- There are a lot of events on campus this year that we hope students are able to attend and enjoy. Please check the district web site, social media accounts, and athletic calendar for information.
In case you missed it on Twitter...
Our front lobby now has BHS Well Wishes! Thanks to Mrs. Guerrieri for the idea and labor of love that made this happen. Very creative, and a great way to help students connect with each other in positive ways.
