Reminder about the 5th to 6th grade elective presentation:
I will place directions and handouts about registration in your box on Friday. Basically, Success teachers (5th grade only) will need to hand out the registration forms and elective descriptions in Success class onFebruary 14. All I need Success teachers to do is collect the forms from the students and mark their name off the list that I give you. Obviously the sooner we get the forms back the better. I have to have all forms by the Friday before Spring Break.
For Tuesday of next week: Remember:
Incoming 6th grade elective presentation at AMCMS gym
3rd period - 5th grade will have their same lunches
6th grade Orchestra Club and Choir kids will have lunch during A lunch.

11:30 - FALCONS begin walking over to gym
11:35 - EAGLES and OWLS - we will leave from cafeteria and go to gym

Rocco's Corner
This year I have been informed immediately by all staff when they have learned of issues that needed investigating. I have been allowed to direct those investigations myself, with help from everyone. I have no complaints nor any suggestions but to keep up the good work and continue to do as you have. Stay cautious, observant, vigilant and continue to err on the side of caution, for there is not to err at all.
AVID Showcase Feb 15th 9:00-2:00
Guest will meet in the Lecture Hall, then rotate through classrooms during 2nd & 3rd period.
We will Showcase Tutorials in the Collaboration Space during 4th period then eat lunch in the Library.
Applications have a due date (Feb 9th) but I will continue to accept applications through May so we can fill all classes.
McDermott's Tech Tip
SPED
We are just starting the very busy ARD season and here a few tips that could help the process. Please be sure to (1) meet the deadlines given by the SpEd case managers for ARD prep forms, (2) respond to team evites so that a sub can be sent to the correct room for ARDs to begin on time, and (3) know that all information requested by SpED department is required by the Director of Special Services and will be part of the student's Annual ARD.
Thank you for all you do each day for the success of all OW students!!
