B.I.S. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Every target student:
-acquires English academic language skills in English to B2 level.
-improves English linguistic competences to B2 level in real-life situations, by means of working collaboratively and interacting socially with foreign students.
-develops perception of cultural expressions, artistic sensitivity and aesthetic sense.
-gives his critical point of view about the beauty canons of some artworks and guide fellow students through a museum.
-analyses the variations suffered by fashion and beauty canons from Prehistoric times until today and become aware that the concept of beauty is changeable and subjective.
-accepts physical differences and one's own body to overcome aesthetics stereotypes and to prevent aesthetic discrimination.
Every single member of our schools improves:
-ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) skills by applying web 2.0 resources to CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning).
-plurilingual and intercultural competences through interaction with foreign partners and the use of e-ELP (Electronic European Language Portfolio).
B.I.S. PROJECT METHODOLOGY
-CLIL teaching learning approach.
-Cross-curricular teaching.
-Collaborative work between international students`groups and between international target teachers.
-ICT supporting CLIL.
-Use of e-ELP.
-Educational intervention against aesthetic discrimination.
B.I.S. PROJECT MAIN PRODUCTS AND ACTIVITIES
-Every school year, the international student target groups generate a collaborative glossary of words tied to classical fashion and body care, a collaborative aesthetic guide and a collaborative timeline about beauty canons.
-Three times per school year, during mobilities, students conduct workshop activities against aesthetic discrimination.
-Three times per school year, during mobilities, the entire school community interacts with foreign students and teachers through face to face real-life communication.

Intangible results:
-Pupils` achievement of English academic language in English to B2 level.
-Pupils` improvement of English linguistic competences in social situations to B2 level.
-Pupils` development of perception of aesthetic sense.
-Pupils` development of critical point of view about beauty canons.

-Pupils `acceptance of physical differences and one`s own body.
