Talking Finances w/ Treasurer Mr. Robert Rinehart
In FY 2024, a revenue surplus is expected. This means that expenditures are expected to be less than revenue by -$982,180 in FY 2024. By the last year of the forecast, FY 2028, the District is expected to have a revenue shortfall where expenditures are projected to be greater than revenue by $2,342,440. The District would need to cut its FY 2028 projected expenses by 10.80% in order to balance its budget without additional revenue.
The District's cash balance is positive at year-end in FY 2024 and is projected to worsen by FY 2028. A worsening cash balance can erode the District's financial stability over time.
The next Finance Committee Meeting will be held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24 inside the BOE Office, 153 North Main Street, Oberlin.
As always, parents/guardians can reach out to Mr. Rinehart with any questions or concerns by calling (440) 776-4552 or email him directly at rrinehart@oberlinschools.net.

Our students in every grade level have worked so hard this year - we are so proud of each and every one! A special thank you goes out to our staff, as well as parents and guardians - it really takes a village to help raise our students!
