Confirmation Schedule
The FINAL schedule has been circulated to Confirmation Coordinators and an updated schedule with adjusted numbers is below. If you have families with conflicts, please reach out to Don. to find an alternate celebration as our numbers are continually changing and we are working very hard not to overfill celebrations. As it is, they are very full, so your patience is appreciated.
Mystagogy - more than just Adult Initiation
Mystagogy is the final stage of Adult Initiation where the neophyte (newly baptized) is able to continue the formation journey in a reflective and immersive fashion. It is also the hardest stage for most parishes to accomplish since the big event is done. We often find a similar hardship after the other Sacraments. We want folks to continue their journey with us!
Here are a few good resources for Mystagogy that may help.
https://teamrcia.com/2015/05/a-great-rcia-resource-for-mystagogy/
https://teamrcia.com/2007/10/a-step-by-step-guide-to-mystagogy/
In recent conversations, Adult Initiation coordinators have expressed a desire to help those who just received Sacraments join into ministries within the parish. It may be worth while exploring a ministry fair or "horse & pony show" for them and journey with them as they begin this new and deeper expression of their faith.
But Mystagogy is for all of our parishioners! They can experience a mystagogy around the Eucharist this year through the National Eucharistic Revival. Individuals can sign up for weekly emails every Thursday that will invite them deeper into the mysteries of Christ. It is called Beautiful Light: A Paschal Mystagogy and you can sign up here: https://www.eucharisticcongress.org/mystagogy-press-kit
