Causes of The American Revolution
It Begins
Four Main Causes Of The American Revolution
Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation of 1763 is one big factor in the American Revolution. This cause prohibited colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains. Colonists thought this was the British taking more control. So this made the colonists angry and to think about separation.
Quartering Act 1765
This cause was important because we had to provide shelter and food for the British shoulders if they came over.In your own house! We had no say in this. This is important because it made us angry and our constitution prohibits it.We were so mad that we didn't ever want this to happen again in our country.
Boston Massacre 1772
This is important because it was one of our main battles that got us angry before the American Revolution. The British fired at a crowd and five people died. The first to die was a man named Crispus Attucks. We do not know exactly what started the fight though.
Boston Tea Party 1773
This is important because it got the British very angry and they eventually closed the Boston Harbor and took away rights. The colonists dressed as Indians and boarded a British ship.We through out the tea and made Britain lose millions of dollars. They later punished Massachusetts for this.
