NEWS FROM THE PANTHER DEN
WEEK 30 EDITION
WEEK 30 REFLECTION
While my sprinting days might have peaked during my fifth grade field day, I figured I would reach out to one of our track coaches, Coach Santos for some advice on how we can get ready for the sprint to the finish. As always, she provided some sound advice.
1) Review the basics. It's important to build on the foundation of skills that was learned in the beginning of the year. Focus on technique, understanding and application.
2) Practice like you compete. Put yourself in situations that will prepare you for what is coming. Whether it is for a race, a test, a lab or a group project, practice and prepare like you are ready to compete.
3) Have a positive mindset. Being confident in your ability and the ability of your teammates is important.
4) Set goals. What do you want to accomplish? Is it a short term or long term goal? Work hard to achieve that goal.
5) Lift up those around you. Supporting your teammates and being there together is critical to individual success as well as team success.
As we put our feet in the starting blocks of the final marking period of the year, may we all keep these five key pieces of advice in mind. Thanks Coach Santos for getting us ready for the sprint to the finish! Let's Go Panthers! #nocknation
