Susan B. Anthony

Who was she?
Susan B. Anthony, much like Jane Addams, was a trailblazer for the women's suffrage movement in the United states. Anthony was also the president of the National American Women Suffrage Association between 1892 and 1900. She helped lead the way for the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution, giving females the right to vote.
Was she Successful?
Susan became inspired to fight for women's rights while she was campaigning against alcohol. She and fellow activist Elizabeth Cady Stanton founded the National Women Suffrage Association in 1869. In 1872 she voted for the presidential election illegally and was fined $100 dollars, which she never paid. On March 13, 1906 Anthony died and women still didn't not have the right to vote, 14 years after her death the 19 th amendment was passed. She was never personally successful with getting women the right to vote but her dream lived on and eventually the women got the right to vote.
