But what does that mean?
Plagiarism is when you take credit for someone else's work and you make it seem like it was your own.
To make sure you are not plagiarizing, follow these steps;
- Cite your work!
- Make sure you are properly citing!
- If you do want you use information someone said, put it into your own words!

COPYRIGHT LAWS
But what does that mean?
A copyright is a form of protection that is provided to the author of "original works". It gives the author ownership of their work. These works can be, written, musical, artistic, creative, lyrical and literary.
To make sure you don't break the copyright laws make sure you;
- Know what is and is not protected!
- If you are not sure whether you would get in trouble or not for using something, than go with your gut! Don't use it!
- Don't download music, videos or images off the internet and put them into your own work for school!

CYBERBULLYING
Cyberbullying as defined by the Canada Safety Council is “harmful actions that are communicated via electronic media and are intended to embarrass, harm or slander another individual”
But what does that mean?
Cyberbullying is anything you do, say or post online that can hurt another person’s feelings or image.
What are some examples of cyberbullying?
- Posting a picture of someone online (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.) that is meant to embarrass him or her!
- Spreading a rumour or making fun of someone in an online chat!
- Directly threatening or intimidating someone through online messages!

- Take part in local campaigns (participating in a local awareness fair, handing out flyers)
- Digital social justice projects

Using technology to communicate and connect on a global level. Some ways to achieve this is through; International travel clubs, Pen Pal projects

Skype, Edmodo, text messages e-mail

NETIQUETTE
Netiquette is the code of appropriate behaviour in conducting yourself online in terms of conventional norms and expectations for social behaviour.
But what does that mean?
Netiquette is the do’s and don’ts of how you act online.
What does good netiquette look like?
- Using appropriate language that is not offensive to any group or individual!
- Knowing when it is appropriate to use personal electronic devices!
- Showing respect for others online by not using or reproducing their personal posts!
