The Counseling Corner
I am excited to meet you this new school year. I plan to continue positive relationship building with all students, teachers and parents. Working together helps us develop a strong plan to accommodate all the students. With a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in school counseling, I feel I am equipped to help the students, parents and staff with any need that comes along. I am very glad to be working with all of you this year, so please don't hesitate to stop by my office if you need anything!
WINTER IS APPROACHING
Winter Apparel
As we all know, the winter months are coming up and our style of dress should be a little different. Students should have a coat, hat and gloves for those cold mornings so they do not get frost bite. Teachers should also make sure all students are having these items on if they chose to do recess time. These items will help keep our students warm and give them the opportunity to go outside to experience the winter months and the changes of the seasons. Long pants and sweaters or long sleeve shirts are a good idea to wear inside of the building as well. Its not always so toasty in some classrooms. If you have any problems with providing these items for your child(ren), please stop by the counseling office.

Anonymous Bullying!
This year I would like to implement something called "anonymous bullying." There will be a box outside of my office for you to place notes of anykind with reports of bullying activities you have seen or heard about. You do not have to include your name on the note if you do not wish, but please make sure if you have seen or heard any type of bullying that you report it. The anonymous bullying box has been created so no one will know who has reported any incident, but we still want to know so that we can stop any bullying that might be occurring in the school. This school is a safe place and we want all students and parents to know that we do not tolerate any bullying here.
