Homecoming 2014
The stands were packed and the crowd was loud at the Homecoming game against McKinney Boyd last Friday night. The game started, but not long after Flower Mound was down by a few touchdowns. Jags fans continued to cheer along with the drum line and cheerleaders.
By halftime, the Jags still trailed the Bobcats. McKinney's band and drill team preformed. Then, it was Flower Mound's turn. The Rosettes had a 'Countdown to the 50's' themed performance along with a clogging routine. The band, who was accompanied by the Color Guard, was outstanding as usual.
Shortly after the band performance, the Homecoming Court was announced. Representing the Freshman Class was FM9's own, Matthew Lauer and Courtney Moitz. The sophomore Duke and Dutchess was Zach Guidry and Macey Diedrich. The Juniors representing their class were Dillon Davis and Christan Perkins. Finally, seniors, Keeton Schenck and Claire Marr, were selected as Homecoming King and Queen.
The game started back up, and McKinney continued to score. Finally, the Jags scored their first and only touchdown. The crowd went wild! In the fourth quarter, the crowd started to fade out. The final score was 44-6. Despite the score, the fans still had a good time. Don't forget to support your freshman, JV, and Varsity teams as they play Plano next week.
