What is Momentum?
Momentum is the measurement of the quantity of motion. It's found by finding the product of it's weight and velocity or p=m*v. Momentum is in the unit kg m/s
Some Examples
mass= 2000kg
velocity= 0 m/s
momentum= 0 kg m/s
mass= 1000kg
velocity= 3 m/s
momentum= 3000 kg m/s
mass= 3000kg
velocity= 0.5 m/s
momentum= 1500 kg m/s
Law of Conservation of Matter
The total momentum before an event is equal to the total momentum after an event.
