This Week at Gateway
Gateway Regional Staff Newsletter - December 11, 2017
Principal's Message
Gateway is committed to providing a safe-learning environment for all students. It was decided that any student who is involved in an altercation at school will have charges filed against them and will be arrested and escorted out of the school by Woodbury Heights Police.
In addition, the administration will work with the Woodbury Heights Police Department and our security specialist to organize random searches of the school grounds. The school will not give notice of when these searches will occur to maintain the integrity of the search. This search will be done with the assistance of police K-9 units. A lockdown will be initiated prior to the dog search and police dog handlers will guide the dogs through the building as they search assigned locations including the parking lot. This exercise serves two key purposes-it allows the district and police department to determine the presence of illegal controlled substances on campus and it serves as a reminder to students and the community that we take responsibility for maintaining a drug-free school very seriously.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Career Day!
Our keynote speaker, Erica Scanlon Harr, did a great job. Jefferson Health and the FAA brought teams of speakers. Gateway is fortunate to have wonderful career partners.
In addition, under the guidance of MaryGail Muller and Amy Pierce, culinary students showcased their talents for speakers by cooking delicious entrees.
