Read Across America Day March 2nd Wednesday
Kids are invited to bring in some of their favorite books, a pillow and teddy bear. We'll be doing some reading in class on Wednesday.
Thank you parents!
It was wonderful to see you all at Parent Teacher Conferences. Thank you for coming in and spending time with me.
Spring is almost here!
The year is passing by quickly. It'll be fun to enjoy warmer weather at recess in the coming weeks.
March Madness!
Michigan is on the 'bubble'. They may make the tournament, but March always signals warmer weather and a generally fresh feel to it. Glad to see March on the calendar.
World War 2 Projects
Please remember that the World War II projects are meant to be fun, an extension of our class learning and an opportunity to explore a topic of your students' choice. Students are expected to become 'experts' on their topic and present information to the other students in class through the method of 'museum walking tours'. Kids will set up a presentation and groups will take turns presenting and observing. Should be a fun, educational time.
Conjunctions and Interjections
Rounding up the parts of speech refresher, we are gearing up for a test late this week in grammar.
Pronouns
We are working on the concept of establishing nouns first, then seeking a balance in use of pronouns and nous.
Measuring this and that
On the menu in math is a steady experience of measuring distance/length, capacity and weight.
