Chamberlin's Chat
Nashua Families,
Happy October! This month brings multiple opportunities for your family to engage with the Nashua community. First, please consider attending the First Annual Staley Under the Stars Movie Night this coming Saturday evening, on Staley's football field. See the flyer below for additional information. Second, we hope to meet our goal of 100% family participation in Parent-Teacher Conferences that will be held the evenings of October 19 and 21. If you have not already scheduled your conference, please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule this. We love the opportunity to tell you about all of the fantastic things that your student is doing and learning at school! Finally, we would like to invite you to attend our fall parade and dance party (weather permitting) on Friday, October 29. We would love to see you at one, two, or all three of these events!
Just a reminder that if your child is going to be absent, please call the attendance line at 321-5162. Family members are welcome to leave a message about absences 24 hours a day.
Please remember that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow or Monday. Have a wonderful weekend, and as always, reach out with any questions that you may have.
Ms. Chamberlin

Fall Parties and Parade (REPEATED ITEM)
Fall parties will take place on Friday, October 29. We are thrilled to welcome families back to Nashua this year for the parade, but are limited to visitors being outdoors only for this event.
The day's events will take place as follows:
-Party snack will take place at lunch time in the cafe to eliminate potential exposure in classrooms
-Party games/activities (provided by PTA) will be done in the classroom with the teacher at a time convenient for the teacher
-Because some teachers may decide to do their party activity near the beginning of the day, students will be allowed to wear costumes to school in the morning. No makeup or masks, and accessories are to be small enough to fit into backpack and should not be weapons.
-At approximately 2:15 classes will go outside for the parade, and this will be followed by a school and family dance party outside. This will end at 3:00 and students will return to their classrooms with teachers. The parade/dance party is the only component to which families will be invited, and the goal is to give families an opportunity to participate in some of our fun for the day! We plan to have a DJ and have also invited Staley athletes to join us for the dance party.
-Students are not to leave the playground with parents. If parents would like to check their child out, they must come to the office and the office will call for their child.

In addition, if you are lining up early for dismissal, we ask that you not block driveways and mailboxes along 114th street or McGee street.
Thank you so much for your cooperation, as this helps for a smoother dismissal for everyone.
