Dear Families
Term 4 and 2021 comes to a close tomorrow and what a year it has been.
We have been in and out of remote learning and lockdowns many times. Our children are just amazing and are so resilient.
To all our families we owe a huge thank you for your patience, tolerance, understanding and most of all your assistance when it came to remote learning.
Year Six Students
We said goodbye to our Year six children on Tuesday evening at their graduation ceremony and again yesterday at our final assembly. They have been the leaders of our school for the past 12 months and we thank them for their great contribution to our school over several years. We wish them good luck as they move on to Secondary school in 2022.
Staffing
We are saying goodbye to a few of staff members. Lisa Logue and Amy Hodge are going on family leave. We wish them well for the arrival of their babies early in 2022. Rebecca Natalizio is taking leave to do some travel and Andrea Wymond is being courageous and taking on a new challenge in another education setting. We wish Rebecca and Andrea every success in their ventures.
2022 School Year
School will commence for all students on Wednesday 2 February. Our staff will be engaged in some professional Learning for three days prior to this date. We hope 2022 is going to be a more stable year allowing our children to be at school every day.
COVID
Thank you to all families who have been going for testing over this past week. Unfortunately, we had some positive COVID fragments in our wastewater causing alarm bells to the Health Department. This evidence suggests that we have some positive cases. Thanks to everyone’s vigilance, we hope it will be under control soon.
I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and look forward to seeing all children back at school in February 2022.
Good luck for a restful and safe holiday.
Kind regards
Denise Howley
school reports are now available via compass parent portal
We also have a very large body of student work and teacher feedback on Seesaw. Student portfolios have grown considerably throughout the year. We are very proud of the efforts everybody has put in this year. Thank you for your contribution to their learning in what has proved to be another challenging year!
