From Mr. Jeffries and our Robotics Department
Lincoln Fam,
If you didn’t hear the great news our Steel Stingers robotics team won the prestigious Rookie Inspiration Award and went on to take 1st place at the Port Hueneme Regional last weekend with alliance teammates the Millennium Falcons (Torrey Pines High School) and Rembrandts (a team from the Netherlands). Below is the finals match that won us the event:

We will be competing again at the San Diego Regional located at the UCSD LionTree Arena March 22th- 24th. We invite all staff members to come support at the event Saturday/Sunday for our qualification matches and hopefully elimination matches. It’s a high energy affair with tons of dancing, cheering and general fun to bring the whole family!
All the information is in the link below but I believe the parking information may be updated some time this week (if it changes at all from last year):

California School Parent Survey 2023-2024
Lincoln needs you to complete this online survey to learn more about your opinions about it. This survey is an opportunity to communicate your perceptions about Lincoln High School. This explains the survey and, at the bottom of the page, provides your URL and access instructions. If you have any questions about this survey, contact Melissa Agudelo at magudelo@sandi.net.
The purpose of this survey is to obtain parent perceptions about the school.
Your participation is voluntary. It is also very important. The information you provide will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, and improve student achievement.
- This is an anonymous survey. It is designed so that no one can be identified from the data. You do not have to respond to any questions that you feel could be used to identify you. Simply skip any such questions.
- All questions apply to Lincoln only.
- The results are for the use of your district. The California Department of Education and WestEd will preserve data confidentiality and refer any data requests to the district.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING THE SURVEY
After the first page of the survey, you will be able to change the language to one of 18 options. Access the survey using the green button below labeled: California School Parent Survey 2023-2024.
Community Schools Corner: UPDATED WEEKLY
Needs Assessment for Parents
We are at 54% of staff responses for the Community Schools Staff Survey. Below is a snapshot of their responses. We are over 10% of the parent survey.Over the next five years, Lincoln will receive close to $2 million that goes towards our Community Schools initiatives. Participating in this survey is one way to have a say in how the money is spent. We need all of our Lincoln parents and guardians to complete the short survey about the school’s needs.

*New* This is a week early, but we want you all to know we are starting the Community Schools Student Focus groups starting with the senior class on Tuesday, March 19 in the theatre during second period. An announcement will be made at the beginning of second period to remind students.
*New* We are hosting a phone bank event on Thursday, 3/14 from 4:00pm-5:30pm in the library. We will be calling parents to fill out the Community Schools Parent Survey. If you would like to join, email Adam (aarmas2@sandi.net). We are also looking for assistance with reaching out to families to ask about their thoughts on Lincoln and reach our goal of surveying at least 75% of our families. Students can receive volunteer hours. Please reach out to Adam if you are interested in assisting.
*Update* We are at 65% of staff responses for the Community Schools Staff Survey. Below is a snapshot of the responses as of last week. If you have not had a chance to fill it out, please click on the Community Schools Lincoln Staff Survey link and share your voice. We are aiming to have at least 75% of all staff participate by March 22.
Send any questions to Adam Armas (aarmas2@sandi.net).
