News From Crown Point Community School Corporation
In consideration of student safety and well-being, CPCSC will use the following procedures during the partial solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. While the partial eclipse is an exciting event, viewing the eclipse without proper eye protection can cause permanent damage to vision.
Students will remain indoors from 12:45 pm to the end of the school day. Students who arrive or leave within that window of time should not look at the eclipse and/or take proper precautions.
If a parent would like to keep their child home to view the eclipse under their supervision, they must provide proper notification to their child’s school.
- Additional information, resources, and safety tips about the eclipse can be found online at https://www.in.gov/dhs/solar-eclipse-2024/.
