GEOLOGICAL FORCES
What we're learning:
We are continuing our study of Geological Forces and have really delved into volcanoes lately. For the end of the unit, we are having our students work on projects in the classroom. That's why it is important that they bring their own electronic device to class, if possible. We are, also, going to be studying geysers, rock erosion, weathering and deposition over the next few weeks, as well as careers that pertain to geological forces.
Remember to send the Challenge homework folder (the thin plastic pocket folder), a snack & water to Challenge each week. SNACK MUST BE TREE NUT AND PEANUT FREE.
You may consider leaving the Challenge homework folder in your child's backpack so that they don't forget it on Challenge Day.
Please help us keep you updated by signing up to receive text messages from us via Remind 101. Text @bhegt to 81010 If you haven't signed up, yet, please do so.
TWITTER!! To see all the fun activities and lessons in Challenge follow us @JudySederholm and @RezaieMina. You can also search #BHEhuskies and see all the wonderful learning that goes on around our campus.
Mrs. Rezaie's parents ONLY: Most students are connected with our Challenge SeeSaw. I have sent an email invite to parents who have not yet connected. Please take a moment to connect to our class and see all the fantastic things we are doing in Challenge. It's a great way to stay connected with all the happenings in our classroom. If you do not have the email or the QR code (your child brought home), please email me and I will send you an invite to access your child's journal.
If you have SeeSaw set up for your child's homeroom, all you have to do is click "add child" and you can add our class to your existing account.
Please let me know if you have any questions about SeeSaw.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Programs we think are great for Challenge students.
CHESS
Chess is offered on Thursdays after school for students in 3rd - 5th Grade.
Spring semester will start in January. If you are interested in signing up your child, please look for information about registration in the Alaskan Pipeline toward the end of November.
THANK YOU!!
We want to thank you for helping our Challenge rooms by supplying Volcano Cakes and all the supplies needed to make our lessons even more fun. The kids really enjoyed our yummy Volcano Cake lesson, building volcanoes, and all the other hands-on activities. Please be on the lookout for future SignUpGeniuses.
If, in the last minute, you can't provide the item you have already signed up for, please let us know immediately so we can go out and purchase the items ourselves. We are depending on these items for our lessons.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the parents and students for making my birthday week wonderful. Thank you, Tara Bergman, for getting the message out that I was having a birthday. It really was a wonderful week! Mrs. Sederholm
