Nurse G says THANKS!!
Our Hearing, Vision, and Dental Screen was a huge SUCCESS!! We screened 400 1st, 3rd and 5th graders in less than 4 hours. That is impressive! This screening would not have been as smooth and efficient without our wonderful volunteers and PTO. I am truly grateful for your time and assistance.
I’d like to say THANK YOU to Christy Louella, Nisha Rama, Tara Brooks, Julie Caesar, Karla Faems, Leela Yellapragada, Kari Souder, Eileen Bundy, Jo Neal, Natalie Ingram, Patricia Valez, Andrea Supina and Serena Leung.
And, a special thanks to our friends at Clarity Eye Group & Dental Town for all of their assistance. It truly takes a village!
Keep 'em Coming!
Sincerely,
Nurse G

Oct 22-26 is Bus Driver Appreciation Week
Red Ribbon Week, Oct 23-26
We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week on Tuesday, October 23- Friday, October 26th! The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people. It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle by:
· Wearing red on Tuesday, October 23
· Wearing your shirts backwards on Thursday, October 25 because we turn our backs on drugs
· Wearing crazy socks on Friday, October 26 because we are socking it to drugs
Come aboard and travel "Around the World"
Mark your calendars for October 25 when we will enjoy learning about various cultures from around the world at a night filled with friends, food, facts, and fun.
The Around the World Committee needs volunteers before and during the event. If you are able to help, please email AroundTheWorld@bigcreekespto.com to help make this event a success! See you in a few weeks.

Does your company match your contributions to PTO? Double your donation!
Corporate matching is a program offered by many employers where the employer will match any contributions made to a non-profit organization. Since Big Creek Elementary School PTO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the donations made to our fundraisers (Fall Write-a-Check fundraiser and Spring Read-a-Thon fundraiser) may qualify for a corporate match from your employer. This program can double your donation. This is one of the easiest ways to provide extra funds to our school’s PTO
.
Once you have made a donation to BCES PTO, please check with the HR department of your company and ask if they have an employee matching/donation program. We appreciate you taking five minutes of your day to possibly double your donation to our school. You will need the following information to complete your match:
