- 5th grade parents: Please check your email on Monday for a communication from Mrs. Toth regarding 2024-2025 Related Arts course requests.
- If your child is planning to participate in "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day," please be sure to complete the following form by Monday, April 22.
- Per Board of Education policy 2430, students must maintain passing grades (minimum 63%) in all classes to participate in Interscholastic Sports. Grades will be checked on April 22, the midpoint of the Spring season, and those students who do not meet the criteria will be ineligible to participate in athletics until their academic performance improves. If you have any student athletes with an average below 63%, please see me.
- National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day falls on the fourth Tuesday of April, this year being April 23. Please take a moment to recognize your child's bus driver(s) with a thank you or note of appreciation.
- On April 26 and 29, Mountain View staff will be administering both a Mathematics and ELA assessment to all students at Mountain View using the LinkIt! online testing platform. The district has been using LinkIt! since 2015; students have multiple years of experience with this platform. Each year, we administer three rounds in both ELA and Mathematics , with the data from each round being used in various ways, from providing information about student progress, to evaluating our programs. Students have traditionally taken the assessment in their regular Mathematics and ELA classes. To create a more formal testing atmosphere, we will have all the students remain in their homeroom to complete the Form B assessments, which is consistent with the administration of the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment in the spring. Note that a revised bell schedule will be in place, with all students taking the LinkIt! From 8:30 - 9:45, and the normal class schedule resuming thereafter.
Time is running out!
The deadline to order the 2023-2024 Mountain View Yearbook is Friday, April 26.
*Note that 8th graders will automatically receive a copy and do not need to order
