Bringhurst Family Newsletter #15
4/12/24
Principals' Message
Welcome Back! We hope you had a wonderful Spring Break and a great week back to school. As we come back to school it's hard to believe that we have just over a month and a half before summer break is here. State testing will begin for our intermediate students (3-5th grade) in the coming weeks. We are excited for our upcoming Spring Concert with our students in 1-5th grade next week.
We are so fortunate to have such amazing ladies in our office! Mrs. Sanchez, Mrs. Pulido, and Mrs. Lafferty are the backbone to our school. From helping students when they're hurt, answering questions from parents and assisting all of the Bringhurst staff, there is nothing they can't handle! We are so fortunate! We are looking forward to celebrating our wonderful office staff on Wednesday, 4/24 for Administrative Professionals' Day!
Today our students were able to use the Blazer Bucks they have earned in the past month towards small prizes or class prizes at our Blazer Buck Store. How do students earn Blazer Bucks? Students can earn Blazer Bucks by showing any of our core values: Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Responsible. Teachers also reward students with Blazer Bucks in class for demonstrating excellent student behavior. This month we are focusing on being responsible, so students might earn Blazer Bucks if they are caught helping to return all playground equipment, picking up trash, keeping their lunch area clean, etc. We will have at least 2 more Blazer Buck Store days before this year ends.
Finally, our Marquee is currently down and the manufacturer has been contacted. It appears there has been a malfunction with their internal storage. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Have a great rest of April!

Parking Lot is for STAFF Only
Unfortunately, we do NOT have any visitor parking spots. All visitor parking is on the street. If you park in a parking spot in the parking lot (even if only for a minute) you are taking a staff member's parking spot preventing them to get to class on time and students left unsupervised. Please DO NOT park in the parking lot except after school hours. Thank you for your help and understanding.
