History of Bora Bora
Bora Bora was first occupied by the Polynesian traders and colonists in the fourth century.
In 1722 Dutch explorer Jakob Rroggeveen made the first European sighting, but European would not land on an island until Jame cook in 1770. Bora Bora remained an independent kingdom until annexed by the French in 1888
Biography on Bora Bora
Bora Bora was discovered during World War II by the United States. U.S Military used island as a supply base in response to the attack in Pearl Harbor in December 1941.
