SIG at Columbia
News and Views from SIG's 1st session at Columbia University
Dear parents, guardians and friends,
Hello from the beginning of our final week at SIG Columbia! Final projects are being completed, student activities are winding down, and we are all preparing to say goodbye to what has been a wonderful session of SIG. Before sharing photos of this past weekend's events, including the Student Talent Show, Casino Night, and an event in which counselor groups had to create a music video, we at Columbia want to invite you to two events this week.
First, on Thursday, July 17 at 7 PM in the Lerner Party Space, we have our Student Performance Showcase. Any class with a performative or visual aspect, such as Improv 101 and Digital Photography, will have an opportunity to share what they have accomplished over the course of the session.
And lastly, on Friday, July 18 at 4:45 PM in the Lerner Cinema, we have our final program. Certificates of completion will be given out, a slide show documenting the session will be shown, and we will hear from several student speakers about their time at SIG.
An important note: due to Columbia's policies, we do request that anyone planning to go to either event please RSVP to cusigsad@aifs.com with the event name and the name of each person planning to attend as soon as possible. All adults will also need a piece of photo ID to enter Lerner on each day. We apologize for the inconvenience, and if you have any concerns about this process, please e-mail our main office at cuom@aifs.com.
Thank you, and have a wonderful day!
