Avondale Middle School
A Message from Dr. Gomez
Review:
Students worked hard to finish strong at the end of Q3. Thank you for encouraging students to do their best.
We also had a wonderful Book Fair! Thank you for supporting literacy and reading in our building.
We had the priviledge of attending the Excellence in Education dinner sponsored by the Auburn Hills Chamber of Conference to honor our AMS students and teachers. Our team selected two eighth grade students who honored their most impactful teachers from Avondale. Andrej Gjorgjievski honored his most impactful teacher, Ms. Sarah Gilbert. Jersey May honored Mrs. Mary Nofs.
Mrs. Schneider attended the Optimist Oratorical Contest at the Auburn Hills Comunity Center. Once again, the speeches were so impactful. Our winners for this week were:
1st place: Ariana Herrera-Zittritsch
2nd place: Santiago Munoz-Hernandez
3rd place: Elise Momany
Congratulations to all on a job well done!
Preview:
Spring Break!!!
We wish you rest, calm, and peace.
The Best Thing:
This week at the Book Fair, we saw students faces light up with excitement to see and purchase books. Some of our 8th graders who try to act older and more mature, were giddy looking at and buying new books!
