Communicating With Families
THANK YOU!
Thank you teachers who volunteered their time at sci:tech on Saturday and extra kudos to Sarah Murphy for leading the charge. Students participated in a motion lab with paper oragami spinners, paper twirlers and marshmallow shooters. It was a great day of science!
After School Tutorials
Since after school tutorials begin this week, we will need K-2 support from 3:00-3:30 on Wednesdays on the 3rd/4th playground. The teachers who are tutoring will not be on duty at that time so we will need “all hands on deck” every Wednesday on the porch and in the cafeteria also.

Postivity Project
This weeks Positivity Project strength is Forgiveness.
You forgive those who have done wrong.
You accept that people make mistakes.
Forgiveness is the ability to move past being injured, and
allow yourself to reconcile with the person who hurt you.
Forgiveness can often be seen as a selfless act, but it also
carries many benefits for those who practice it. Those who
demonstrate forgiveness have the ability to move forward
after someone has hurt them. Forgiveness is often rooted
in the idea that all people are valuable and worthy of a
second chance. Many who forgive have the ability to
consider things from another’s perspective.
Forgiveness does not mean rolling over and allowing
yourself to be harmed. It does not mean that you forget the
transgression. By forgiving someone, you don’t have to say
that what he/she did was okay. And, forgiveness is not

"Feels Like" Temperature
We will be using Weather Underground for our daily weather check.
Please use this link and/or app. Graystone Hills has a weather station here so we will use this unless it goes down.
https://www.wunderground.com/weather/us/tx/conroe/KTXCONRO198
The app looks like this. Our ZIP code is 77304 then you may have to select the weather station "Graystone Hills".
Come see me if you have trouble.
If the "feels like temp" is 95-98 degrees, you may have 15 minutes of outside recess instead of 30.
If the "feels like temp" is 99 or greater there is no outside recess.
