We checked out 5,068 books!
Third Grade led in check outs with 1,456 books.
Our Book Fair was a Huge Success!
We earned over $3,000.00 in profits and new books for our library.
Students participated in 40 library lessons.
Lessons included language arts and STEM activities.
Sixth Grade S.T.E.M. Challenge
Sixth Graders needed to rescue Hansel and Gretel from the evil witch. Once they wrote a note calling for help, they needed to find the best way to "send" it. The challenge? They had just one piece of paper and 3 cm. of tape, and it had to be cylindrical in shape. Working in teams, there was a great deal of problem solving, laughter and success in getting their message across!
Fifth Grade Balloon Rocket S.T.E.M. Activity
Fifth graders worked in teams to make and test balloon rockets. After a successful flight, they added "cargo" to their rockets and studied the results. Identifying variables and conducting multiple test runs added to the fun of this activity.
