Mindful Minute
Valentine's Day
In case you haven't picked up on the many postings, our Valentine's Day parties will be Friday, February 15th starting at 2:30. This is because Cadre is on the 14th and we will have subs all over the building on that day.
Please be sure that parents are aware of your party plans, class lists for Valentine's, and anything else you might need from them.
Also, we have tons of Valentine's in the back room so if you need any for students that don't have access them please just ask and we can pull them out for you.
PBIS--a few reminders
1. Please remember that the Gold tickets are "class tickets". They should not be given to 1 student solely for them. The blue tickets are worth 5 and can be given.
2. There are certain areas on the trackers that require evidence to the state when they are marked. A few examples would be Assault to staff or students. These are only marked if there is "extreme danger or students go to the hospital". Otherwise DB should be marked and the narrative can show what happened.
3. You will be receiving a new display that lines up with our new posters to hold your 100's charts. Mr. Langley will be bringing them around. They will be posted just outside of your classrooms.
4. We are also working on traveling Roadrunners for PK-2 and 3-5 for classrooms that earn the highest number of tickets. More to come.
A few reminders............
This is just a friendly reminder that the expectation during the day is professional dress. I do understand that you need to take your classroom and student age group into consideration in terms of deciding what to wear (being on the floor alot, aggressive students, etc) and I support that. However, jeans should NOT be a daily occurrence during the work week. Wednesdays we have Windsuit Wednesday, Fridays are spirit days and are days for jeans, as are any other special occasions that have been identified as a building.
This is another friendly reminder that if you are sick and going to be gone that you need to call me by 6:30 AM based on the new district expectations. If I am unable to answer then you can leave a message. Otherwise I need to speak to you. Text messages, emails or phone messages on the school phone are not sufficient.
Thank you for your attention to these items.
