Let's Keep the Momentum Going!
Collaborative Blog Post: "Socialization Opportunities in Uncertain Times"
We are all eager to get together in person, and after a winter of staying inside, we and our children are feeling increasingly isolated and stir crazy. This Collaborative Blog Post is asking for ideas about how to interact with fellow humans during this time. What has worked for you? What kind of activities have helped you or your child remain connected with others? We would love to hear from parents, professionals, and community members about any tips/resources/websites/blogs/links you recommend for opportunities to socialize during these uncertain times.
Share your ideas on our Google Form, and we will compile applicable responses into our next Collective Blog Post (distributed in April's newsletter and featured on our website). Please submit your information by Friday, March 26, 2021.
Virtual Happy Hours

C.I.T.Y. Close-Up
Meet Camille! Her family received a sensory-friendly family photo session this past month with Something Blue Photography, courtesy of C.I.T.Y. of Support. Her proud mom says:
"Camille has a high energy for life, arts/crafts, and all things Disney. Camille has experienced some difficulties with sleep, sensory issues and has a speech delay. Through working with her amazing therapists, there has been an increase in her speech and incredible advances in her use of play. Camille's favorite things are Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and playing in water."
NOTE THE FAST DEADLINE:
Comment on February's C.I.T.Y. Close-Up post in our Facebook Group featuring Camille by Wednesday night, 3/10 at 11:59 pm for YOUR chance to win a photography session in March!
A winner will be randomly selected and announced on Thursday, 3/11.
Birthday Buddies
Here is one of our first Birthday Buddy recipients looking over his surprise in the mail. His mom said, "My son turned 4 today and I forgot that this day, the 3rd birthday since diagnosis of a genetic syndrome, can be a bit of a minefield...The card from CITY reminded me I am in awesome company on this journey!"
Clinics/Schools: Reserve a month for patients/students at your site to participate, and have them help assemble our special DIY birthday cards for anonymous peers! These projects encourage social connections and also address important therapeutic skills. We have a Sign-Up Genius where you can find all the details and select your month!
**Thank you to Roots Autism Solutions and Therapeutic Academy for sponsoring our
February birthdays! The kids at your clinic did such a great job!**
