Mean, Meadian, Mode, and Range

Mean
Another word for mean could be average. In order to get the mean you have to add up all the numbers and divide it by the amount of numbers there are.
Example: 4,5,8,30,7,
(step 1) put them in order from least to greatest (step 2) add them all up (step 3) divide it by the amount of numbers there are. In this case we added them up and got 54, then we divide it by 5. Finally we got 10.8

Median
Median is the number in the middle. In some cases there is an even group of numbers and there are two numbers in the middle. When there is two numbers in the middle you add the two numbers that are in middle and divide by two.
Example: 2,9,10,13,15 Example: 3,7,8,8,
In this set the median is 10. You add up the two numbers in the
middle (7 and 8) and then divide
by two you'll get 7.5 is the median.
