A Message about Social Injustice from Superintendent Dr. Kelli Moulton
Galveston ISD embraces its diversity. We are committed to respecting the learning environment of our students by making sure our school district is safe and inclusive for all.
There is no place for hate in this country and we, as a public school district, will not remain silent as the events and protests across the nation are being carried out, denouncing racial injustice. We stand against hate, intolerance, racism, and the systematic oppression of any group of people for any reason. We stand with those invested in the Black Lives Matter movement and in support of a society that is ready to make a sincere change toward listening to each other about the truth, leaning on each other for support, and loving each other for our differences.
Current events have pushed this country closer to a tipping point in which our leaders will be forced to listen and make changes. As your superintendent, I can tell you that I am listening and I am proud to be a part of a school district that is committed to providing a future for our children in which protests like these are no longer necessary.
Dr. Kelli Moulton
Superintendent
Galveston ISD

Causeway Galveston Presents:
Teen Health Talks
Tip of the week: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) starts at home. Parents and educators need to work together to develop SEL skills in children. Modeling skills, behaviors, and attitudes for our children to master is the most effective way to teach SEL skills.
This week the SEL Team created SEL kits to be distributed to 200 elementary students throughout the district. The deliveries are the result of a partnership between Causeway Galveston and Texas Ace. The SEL kits are part of summer programing supplies and resources that will going to students. 200 kits will be distributed every week during the month of July.
