Note from the Principal
Memorial Middle School Parents,
Thank you for your support in your child’s education and of Memorial Middle School. I sincerely thank you for your support of our annual Butter Braid Fundraiser. As a result of your participation, Memorial Middle School raised $21,234.00! These dollars will go towards student incentives and flexible seating for team areas. I also appreciate your support of the MMS Student Council Food Drive that occurred the week before Thanksgiving. We could not have accomplished these goals without you!
Please note that during the third week of December, the 14th and 15th, your child will be taking the winter Measures of Academic Progress (MAP). We give students the MAP assessment each year in September, December, and May. The MAP tests determine your child’s instructional level and measures academic growth throughout the school year, and from year to year, in the areas of reading and math. Following the winter MAP testing, you will receive a report showing your child’s growth.
We know that as parents, you are vital to ensuring consistent school attendance. Consistent school attendance has a positive correlation to academic success. I want to take this opportunity to thank parents for partnering with us on the importance of attending school. By emphasizing school attendance, we are all preparing students to succeed in this changing world. Please talk to your child about being in school on time every day and I thank you for your continued efforts.
On behalf of all of us at Memorial Middle School, we wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season.
Sincerely,
Nancy C. Hagen
Principal
