We are available via email. Ms. Valdez will also be available to help your child or answer any question through Zoom at 9:30-10:00 am and 3:00-4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. During this time I will be logged in to a Zoom video conference and any student or parent can join the chat. Please see an email with specific details.

Dyslexia Distance Learning
Please look at the Dyslexia Distance Learning Google Classroom for assignments and updates from Ms. Fuenzalida and Mrs. Wiatrek. If your child attends class with Ms. Fuenzalida or Mrs. Wiatrek, an email will be sent to you with the classroom code. Please join the classroom using the code.
Learning Ally:
Your child can read audio books using Learning Ally. Learning Ally is a fun program that helps with literacy. Students can listen to an audio book for 15-20 minutes daily to help with reading fluency. Students can use the program on a computer or tablet, the directions for adding the app to a device is located in the google classroom. The Learning Ally app is needed to read the book from the digital bookshelf.
Username: First name and student ID - May or may not have a space between the name and ID number Password: Student ID (Lunch number)
Epic Reading:
Another online audio reading program that your child can use is Epic Reading. This website provides both audio books and includes the option to read the book digitally without a voice reading the text out loud. The link to the website is in the Google Classroom as well as the BVES Wildcate Zone Page.
Lexia:
This is an online program that the district will be providing to support your child during this time. Website - https://www.lexiacore5.com/
Students will log in with the following information:
Username = lunch number
Password = lunch number
Please see the Lexia Parent Information Page in the Dyslexia Distance Learning Google Classroom to add the app to the device.
Rocket Spelling:
Your child can use this website to practice spelling skills and syllable types. This is an optional website that can be used if your child has some free time. www.rocketspelling.com
Math and Reading Intervention
If possible, please have your child work on the following programs at least 3 times a week. Thank you :)
Math:
- Go to: https://www.reflexmath.com/
- Select “Student Login”
- Teacher username: valdezal or valdeza
- Select “Math Superheroes” and find your child’s name
- Password: Student ID (Lunch number)
Reflex Math is a game-based program that helps with facts fluency and it takes 15-20 minutes (students will get a green light in the upper right corner and that means they have completed the goal for the day). Students can use it on a computer or tablet.

For Imagine Learning-

- Username: Student ID (Lunch number)
- Password: Student ID (Lunch number)

- Select “Imagine Learning & Literacy” or “Imagine Espanol”
For Lexia-

Imagine Learning and Lexia are fun programs that help with literacy. It takes 15-20 min to complete the activity. Students can use it on a computer or tablet.
