Tasha Ramey, BGCS parent and friend of Kamsey's family writes, "I wanted to take a minute to tell you about an amazing young girl, Kamsey Schneider, a Freshman at BGHS. Every year, Kamsey collects items from local shops, sells candy bars, runs fundraisers, and takes donations and then turns around with the money/donations and helps the homeless. She goes to the streets (with parental guidance) and personally hand delivers items to the less fortunate. This year, she raised a lot of money and documented her journey. I wanted to let you know about her because she is an amazing 14 year old girl." Thanks, Kamsey, for your generosity and concern for others!

This Week's Articles from the Beech Grove High School Publications Staff . . .
Parents Night Out: The BGHS Publications staff is hosting another Parents Night Out! With so much success with the last one, another event was bound to happen. We are currently planning it for December 12th, just in time to get some last minute Christmas shopping done. Keep a look out for more updates! A registration form is included below.
Fun on Black Friday: It's one of the most wonderful times of the year; the only time when everything is cheap and amazing! Black Friday is quickly becoming one of the nations favorite days because stores are full of great expectations and amazing sales. This year however, not many families seemed to participate in the madness. Places like Target, Wal-Mart, and the Greenwood Park mall were some of the only areas with decent discounts and cool products. Even with the lack of participation, people would still fight over various things and even stealing them from others' shopping carts. Although this year’s shopping was not as crazy as it has been in year's past, it was still a good and fun one and we hope everyone who did participate got what they wanted for a bargain!

Q&A With Foreign Exchange Student Baptiste Leclarc
We secured an interview with Baptiste Leclarc, who is a 15 year old foreign exchange student from Strasbourg, France. Here's what he had to say:
Q: “What was your first impression of Americans?”
A: “Everyone was very friendly and always here to help”
Q: “What has been your favorite thing here so far?”
A: “I really enjoyed the Pacers and Colts games I have been to. Also a baseball
game, that was great too.”
Q: “So I have to ask, which sport did you prefer?”
A: “Darn, that’s a tough question. Let’s say I prefer to watch football because they
get crazy!”
Q: “I can see that. Next question is, What is your favorite American food?”
A: Those good burgers from Five Guys.
Q: “What will you miss the most when you leave to go back home?”
A: “Definitely my host family, the friends I’ve made and this sweet daily life."
Q: “Finally, how do you feel the foreign exchange program has changed/helped
you as a person?”
A: “This experience has helped me be more of an adult by managing my money
and things like that. It’s also helped me be more open minded and has helped me
gain more self-confidence.

Coaches Against Cancer
Beech Grove City Schools' Annual "Coaches Against Cancer" game night will be January 9, 2015, against the Roncalli Rebels. This is a girls/boys varsity double header so it promises to be a great night!

A "WALL OF HOPE" will be featured at the game. Anyone will be able to purchase a cancer ribbon for $1.00 and add it to the Wall of Hope.
