Before the Night-time Concerts
Children should be in their classroom by 5:15 for the 5:30 concert and 6:30 for the 6:45 concert. If they arrive prior to that time, students are asked to wait in the gym with their families. Mr. Stuckey will make an announcement when it is time to go the classrooms. Student’s coats can be left with parents/families or they can be hung in each child’s cubby.
After the Night-time Concerts
All of the concerts are planned to be about 25-30 minutes long. For the evening concerts we will continue to have a gathering in the cafeteria after the concert with cookies. Special thanks to the PTO for organizing this treat. For families attending the 5:30 concerts, we will be asking you to try to leave by 6:20 so that families coming for the 6:45 concert can have your parking spot.
At the conclusion of the concert, teachers will bring the children back to the cubby area by their classroom. We ask that each family send one family member to the classroom to pick up the child. Once you have your child, you can meet the rest of your family/guests in the cafeteria for cookies and celebration.
Parking and Entering the Building
In addition to our regular parking lots on the east and south sides of the buildings, we will be opening up our gates so families can park on the blacktop area of the playground. Also feel free to use the parking lot at the YMCA. Please do not park in the fire lanes. All of the main entrances to the school will be open so that you can enter the building as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Local Restaurant Fundraisers
Don’t forget the PTO has organized the following local restaurant nights on each concert evening in case you and your family would like to go out for dinner before or after the concert. Each night a portion of sales will be donated back to the PTO as long as you mention the Summit PTO when placing your order:
Monday, December 9: Fiesta Cancun
Wednesday, December 11: MOD Pizza
