Spring 2014 Survey Reflections

Survey Thoughts...in progress
Below are a few of the samples I have so far from student surveys. I have found some interesting information, which I want to examine more over the course of the semester.
Standard Question from Survey
These questions ask for opinions on feedback, grading, and Adobe sessions. I had many students agree/strongly agree with the statements asked. While those ratings are good, I wonder about the accuracy. You'll see that on the chat session question, somewhere around 20 students have responded. I find this very interesting, especially as I had an average of 4 students in each live session. I would like to take some time to review how many students listened to recordings, in order to better analyze this data.
Teacher Effectiveness
The questions below addressed teacher effectiveness and the likelihood of taking future online courses. I am very curious to find out why these students (indicated by the X and red star) would either found me ineffective and/or would not take another online class. I feel that these are important questions/answers and would love to know the "why" behind them.
Questions Added by Me
Instructors were given the opportunity to add personalized questions to the student survey. I took advantage of this offer and added the items below.
Missed Adobes
This question asked students to tell me why they were unable to come to Adobe sessions. I am hoping to use this information to increase my live attendance next semester.
Newsletter Effectiveness
The item below was designed to gather information about my newsletters. I am always curious about whether or not students are reading the information in those letters. Luckily, I found that most students do read them, as well as find them helpful.
My Favorite Things
This was just a fun question to let students share some things they really liked about the course.
