PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
Dear families,
This week our children have been exposed to a variety of activities, stories and songs that help support our understanding of who works at our school. We discussed how we could help each other in our family and our school.
We also had some visitors from our school come in to our class to talk about their job and how they can help us. We also welcomed very special guests that are members of our school family and of the ISP Community :) The children took the opportunity to make comments and ask the visitors questions. Students were able to name the people who work in our school and explained how that person contributes to keep the school community safe and happy.
Songs, rhymes and games were an important part of our daily routine as it gives us an opportunity to reinforce language development skills. During Small Groups we worked on describing shapes and spatial relationships by using geoboards. In Literacy, the children used alphabet cards and manipulative letters to identify in their names. They also enjoyed listening to the Gingerbread man and Goldilocks story. We brainstormed and used our smelling sense to investigate the main ingredient of a gingerbread man!!!
